Sundays

Come as you are. Dress as you like. Sundays at Crossroads are very casual. In the summer many come in shorts, often hiking after the service. In the winter many come in ski wear, ready for the slopes after the service.

Sunday Morning Service Times: 8:00am, 9:30pm and 11:00am

Sunday Evening Service Time: 7:00pm (dinner starting at 6:30pm)

Our services are a combination of worship music, announcements, offering, message, communion and connecting point. We also offer a variety of Kid and Student programs which are described on our Kids-Students page.

Adult programs, other than the service itself, occur Sunday evening and during the week. You can learn more about them on our Adults or Weekdays page.

Here is what you can expect during one of our Sunday morning services:

Worship

We begin each service with several worship songs led by our worship team. You can expect a combination of songs ranging from upbeat, to intimate, to hymns - often arranged in various genres, using acoustic and electric guitars, electric or classical bass, piano, Hammond B3 organ and drums.

Announcements

We also take a brief moment to welcome our visitors, direct everyone to the bulletin for important announcements, highlight one or two of them and on occassion, let someone take a few minutes to share something big God has done in their life recently.

We will not ask any of our visitors to stand and identify themselves as some churches choose to do. It is not that we don't care. We just realize that would make some of us very uncomfortable and maybe you as well. Rather, we would love to personally meet you after the service in a more casual setting. You can usually find our Teaching and Connecting Pastor, Dan Bosko, at the rear of the sanctuary by the flat screen after the service.

Offering

Usually before the message, we pray for and give our regulars the opportunity to worship God through their giving. For our new visitors and those just checking out our church we do not expect you to give unless God has put it on your heart to do so. Instead feel free to offer us a completed Connecting Card which you will find in the seat back in front of you. On this card you can tell us how you found the church (which always helps us recognize the most helpful resources for letting people know about Crossroads), request information about a specific area or ministry of the church, request a call from one of our pastors, share any prayer requests for our prayer team to pray over and tell us how we are doing. We always love to hear feedback so that we can make our Sundays the best experience that we can.

Message

Sunday messages are given by one of teaching pastors, usually Steve Woodrow, or every so often, a guest speaker. Each message by Steve or one of our other teaching pastors is typically a part of a larger series where we are covering a certain topic or book of the Bible.

You can also watch and/or listen to previous messages via our Media Center. The Media Center will also give you instructions on downloading messages as well as the link to join our podcast of the messages.

You can also watch our services live on Sunday mornings via our internet broadcast, Crossroads Live. All three Sunday morning services as well as our Sunday evening service is broadcasted. Our Sunday evening service is called Elements.

Communion

We conclude each Sunday with communion. While not every church practices weekly communion, we feel this sacrament provides a time to respond to the message and God with a rememberance of His love and sacrifice for us and perhaps a recommitment of our hearts to Him if we have strayed.

Communion is clearly an act of faith for those who have placed their trusted their life and eternal destination into the forgiving hands of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for all of our sins, and offers a new life empowered by the Holy Spirit who comes to live in each Christian's heart upon their profession of faith in Christ.

The Bible also teaches us that we should never take communion if we have unconfessed sin in our lives or if we have a grieveance with another member of Christ's family. We should first go and resolve the conflict with that person, even if it means waiting another week to take communion (please see 1Corinthians 11).

Connecting Point

Between each service, we host our connecting point in a room adjacent to our sanctuary. We have freshly brewed Starbuck's coffee, tea, danishes, fruit and other assorted pasteries. This is a great time to simply converse with others from our church in a very informal setting.

Also, feel free to take your coffee into the sanctuary as we start worship. We only ask that you be careful to not spill it on the carpet and to make sure you clean up after yourself.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our services in the near future. Please contact us if you have any questions. Email Us.
